Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic dental treatments alter the appearance of the smile. There are many treatments used by dentists that can produce an aesthetic outcome.
General Dentistry
We believe that good oral hygiene, a healthy lifestyle and regular dental visits are the best way maintain a healthy mouth. We believe in preventative dental treatment, which means our goal is to maintain your dental health and achieve your desired cosmetic outcomes with the least invasive treatment possible.
Orthodontics
The word “orthodontics” means “Straight Teeth”, but orthodontics treats a lot more than just crooked or crowded teeth.
Orthodontic treatments are used to reposition the teeth and jaws into better alignment, improving the bite, opening the airways as well as creating a more aesthetic arrangement of the teeth.
Poorly aligned teeth or jaws are said to be in a “malocclusion”, meaning “a bad bite”. There are many different types of malocclusions, ranging in severity.
Lost Crown
If your crown or temporary crown falls off your tooth, please make an appointment to see us. If the loss of the crown is causing discomfort or distress, please request an emergency appointment. Bring the crown with you if you still have it, as it may be possible to re-cement it. Please do not attempt to re-cement or superglue your crown back in place yourself, as this can damage your tooth. If the exposed tooth feels uncomfortable or sensitive, you can try applying a little oil of cloves to help reduce this sensation as a temporary measure, until you are able to come in to see us for a more permanent solution.
Wisdom Teeth Removal
Dental extraction is the removal of a tooth. Although in the past dental extraction was a common procedure, these days they are less frequent. This is due to advancements in treatment options and the philosophy that retention of teeth is important, possible and often preferred.
However, there are occasions when extraction is the best treatment option. The aim is to provide you with the treatment that will achieve you the best long-term result.
There are a number of reasons why dental extractions may be necessary. These reasons can include extensive damage to a tooth by trauma or otherwise, periodontal disease, prevention of complications, vertical cracks in a tooth root, or sometimes to remove a tooth with no function.
Wisdom teeth are otherwise known as third molars and often erupt when a patient is in their late teens or early twenties. Sometimes wisdom teeth come through without any problems, however this is not always the case. In many instances there is not enough space in the jaw to allow them to erupt in the correct position naturally. Wisdom teeth may be impacted or poorly aligned, which can cause oral health and teeth problems.
If wisdom tooth extraction is the best treatment option for you, then early intervention is advised. Early extraction can sometimes be less complicated than leaving the tooth to be extracted at a later date.

Head, Neck & Jaw Pain Management
emporomandibular disorders, or TMD, are problems with your jaw and the muscles that control your face. These problems may present themselves in the form of head, neck or jaw pain. This is not to be confused with your Temporomandibular joint, or TMJ, which is the hinge that connects your jaw to your skull, near your ear. This joint facilitates the movement of your jaw and its potential problems may present in the form of clicking, shaking or deviation on jaw opening.
TMD can originate from a misaligned bite, called malocclusion, or from physical, emotional, or psychological stress. It is commonly associated with bruxism (clenching or grinding of your teeth), and can present symptoms of pain or tenderness in the muscles in your head, neck or jaw.
