Dr. Furgurson is a comprehensive cosmetic and family dentist who emphasizes listening to his patients and helping them achieve whatever their dental goals may be. A native of Plymouth, NC, Dr. Furgurson has lived in the triangle for 15 years and is happy to call Chapel Hill home. He is an honors graduate of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, Magna Cum Laude graduate of NC State University with B.S. in Chemical Engineering and minor in Biotechnology, and a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. Dr. Furgurson is committed to continuing education, community involvement, and participating in free dental clinics to help the underserved. Dr. Furgurson is a member of the following organizations. I’m a family and cosmetic dentist who strives to provide excellent conservative dental care using evidence based dentistry. Originally from Greenville, NC, I came to Chapel Hill to attend UNC. I like to joke that UNC couldn’t get rid of me, as I pursued all of my studies at UNC-CH. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Biology with Honors (2004), Doctor of Dental Surgery with Honors (2008), and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program (2009). I currently serve as an adjunct faculty member at the UNC School of Dentistry.
