Tooth Extractions
There are situations in which tooth extraction is required. In certain cases, a baby tooth's long or malformed roots prevent it from falling out properly, necessitating its removal to create room for the permanent tooth to erupt. In other cases, your doctor could advise removing a tooth and replacing it with a bridge or implant because the decay is so severe that it puts the neighboring teeth and jaw at risk. Removal of a tooth may also be necessary for orthodontic correction, infection, or issues with a wisdom tooth.
