Our braces and wires come individually packaged for you and your child from 3M, the same company that produces the N-95 mask for all healthcare workers. In addition to this being a more hygienic product, the braces already have the adhesive on them which also reduces the handling of the braces prior to putting them on your child’s teeth.

Surgical Orthodontics
Orthognathic surgery, better known as surgical orthodontics, is a form of orthodontic treatment utilized when a patient presents with severe orthodontic problems at an age where early intervention is no longer an option. This surgery can address bad bites, jaw bone abnormalities, and malocclusion. It is considered a dental specialty and requires additional years of training. The jaw must be finished growing before surgery takes place, so after age 16 for females and after age 18 for males. This surgery can align the jaw and then plates will be used to move the teeth.

Dentofacial Orthopedics
Orthodontics is about managing tooth movement. Dentofacial orthopedics is about guiding facial growth and development, which is why this is a specialty geared towards the treatment of children. Specialized appliances, including headgear and expanders, are used. This treatment can be done at the same time as orthodontic treatment in most cases.
