Sinus Augmentation (Anostromy)
When you lose maxillary teeth, your jawbone loses its natural structure as the bone support diminishes. This becomes even more prominent as time goes on, at which point you may not have the bone structure needed to safely and securely support dental implants. Like bone grafting in other areas, Dr. Michaels adds grafting material to increase your sinus floor to a height that is acceptable for implants. When you have successfully healed from your sinus augmentation, Dr. Michaels will be able to safely provide new replacement teeth.
