Dr. John Batlle received his undergraduate education at the University of Florida where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.S. in Chemistry in 1979. He then attended the UF College of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1983. After graduating, he worked for the State of Florida and received his commission in the Navy Reserve Dental Corps. He was deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in 2002 where he served as the dentist for Detainee Operations and Navy Hospital GTMO. Some of Dr. Batlle’s many other interesting Navy assignments include humanitarian operations in Kodiak Island, Alaska, and Horn of Africa’s Kenya. Dr. Batlle is a skilled photographer whose office is adorned with images from these adventures. He recently retired from the U.S. Navy Reserve after 26 years of service. Dr. Batlle loves to practice all aspects of general dentistry, with a special passion for aesthetics. He holds a Courtesy Clinical Assistant Professor Appointment in Community Dentistry at the UF College of Dentistry and also held a Courtesy Appointment in the UFCD Department of Endodontics for thirteen years.
