Local anesthetic is used to numb the area of the mouth where Dr. Scolnick will remove any decaying or unsound portions of the tooth. Once the decay is cleared away, Dr. Scolnick will fill the tooth with a composite or amalgam filling. After the filling sets, we will check to make sure your bite is comfortably aligned.
