Root Canal Therapy is a treatment performed when the nerve inside a tooth becomes infected. The possible causes of an infected or dead nerve include: trauma, tooth decay or a damaged tooth. An infected nerve cannot be treated with antibiotics; instead, the infected tissue must be removed. Root Canal allows dentists to remove the nerve without extracting the tooth.
