Tooth root canal
A root canal is a dental procedure to treat an infected or damaged tooth by removing the infected pulp, cleaning and disinfecting the root canals, and sealing them to prevent further infection. It is typically needed due to deep decay, cracks, or severe pain. The procedure involves numbing the area, creating an opening to access the pulp, cleaning and shaping the canals, filling them with a biocompatible material, and sealing the tooth. In many cases, a crown is placed for added protection. Recovery is usually quick, with mild discomfort that can be managed with pain relievers.
