Tooth Extraction
When you have severe tooth pain, it can be a real dental emergency—and Nu Dentistry is here to help you through them all, including teeth extraction. While it may sound scary, our friendly, gentle dentists make sure you’re always relaxed in our office. There are 2 main types of tooth removal procedures: Simple extraction. A simple extraction is used to remove teeth that are visible. Once local anesthetic has properly numbed the area, your dentist will use a tool called an elevator to loosen your tooth and forceps to fully remove it from your gum. Surgical extraction. A surgical extraction is instead performed on teeth that are not visible, like fully submerged teeth or teeth that have broken off below the gumline. Our on-site oral surgeon will make an incision and extract your tooth directly from your gums. Since this method is more intensive, the surgeon will most likely give you a mix of local anesthetic and sedation, including oral or IV sedation. This ensures both your body and mind are relaxed and comfortable throughout your treatment. After your treatment, we’ll prepare you with aftercare instructions to ensure that your mouth stays healthy and heals quickly without any complications. Within a week or two of your procedure, new bone and gum tissue will fill the gap your tooth left behind. At Nu Dentistry, we understand that you can’t always plan when you have a toothache or when your molars are coming in. That’s why if you need emergency tooth extraction, we’re on-call and ready for you. We do our best to ensure you’re in our patient suites within minutes of your arrival. If you need to call our on-site staff to schedule an immediate appointment, call us now at (832) 916-4144

Root Canal
The word “root canal” can be scary, but we’re here to tell you that there’s no need to worry! Our Nu Dentistry endodontists specialize in root canal treatments and are highly skilled. The procedure is relatively painless and straightforward. The entire process should be no more stressful than a visit for a filling. We utilize the most up-to-date techniques and technology that ensure the least invasive treatment available. Our skilled professionals are precise in diagnosing and pinpointing the exact areas of infection. We’re dedicated to making your root canal as efficient as possible. Most people realize that they have a tooth infection once they are having tooth nerve pain or swelling in the tooth and surrounding gums. If you find that you have persistent pain or you notice any abnormalities around your tooth, please come to us immediately. We want to help you in any way we can. If you suspect that you need immediate treatment, contact us at (832) 916-4144 to schedule a consultation with an endodontist.

Cleaning & Exam
Maintaining healthy teeth and gums is essential to both your smile and your overall health, but here at Nu Dentistry, we know it’s almost impossible to do it alone. That’s why we recommend you visit our office for general dental cleanings and exams every 3, 4, or 6 months, depending on your dental history. We’ve seen from experience that just brushing your teeth twice a day and flossing can’t stop bacteria and plaque from building up. If left alone too long, this can lead to painful and costly problems like cavities, bleeding gums, gum disease, and even tooth loss! We want to protect your beautiful smile, and the best way to do so is through prevention and early detection. We’re not just focused on reacting to ongoing emergencies but on making sure they’re never needed. If problems do arise, we’re ready to catch them during dental exams when they first appear and treat them before they become bigger headaches. Frequent dental cleanings and exams not only ensure optimal future dental health, but also saves you money in the long run. If you’re ready for your next dental cleaning and exam appointment, click here or call our office at (832) 916-4144 to schedule yours today!

Cavity Fillings
Getting a cavity isn’t the end of the world, and we can treat yours quickly and efficiently. Using top-of-the-line equipment and devices, we will numb the area around your tooth and remove any decay painlessly. Your tooth will be sanitized to prepare it for filling. We will then fill the cleaned area with either composite resin or porcelain to renew your tooth to its natural state. Our dentists take the time to ensure that the shape of your filling fits precisely with your bite. We always want to make sure that your tooth looks and feels just as it did when it was at full health. At Nu Dentistry, our detailed dentists make sure that the color of your dental fillings always matches perfectly with the rest of your teeth. We offer tooth-colored composite and porcelain fillings that blend in with your natural tooth, leaving you with a flawless smile! For those who want more of an aesthetic pop with their fillings, we also offer alternative material options, including gold and other metals. If you wish to discuss options for your upcoming procedure with your dentist, contact our office today.

Dental Implants
There are many different options on the market when it comes to restoring a missing tooth, each with their own advantages. At Nu Dentistry, we believe that dental implants are the best option over any other alternatives, including traditional dental bridges and dentures. Dental implants are posts, either titanium or zirconia, surgically secured into the jawbone under your gums, attached by an abutment to a crown. There are three parts to the dental implant procedure.
