Extractions – Site preservation
Extractions are the least desired of procedures and are the last diagnoses we would like to make, but sometimes, the tooth at hand is too damaged and the only option is to remove it.  Nevertheless, Dr. Andre Eliasian and his team will ensure that your experience throughout the extraction process is as smooth as possible. Loosing a tooth can drastically affect the quality of life; it creates discomfort in the mouth and affects your smile. Since the introduction of the dental implant, it has become one of the most popular ways to alleviate the loss of a missing tooth/teeth. Implants are a great way to restore the alignment in a way where it looks and functions like a natural tooth. Dental implants are small metal anchors made of titanium which have the unique ability to fuse to the jawbone and provide a strong foundation. After the dental implants are successfully placed and the gum is healed, the restoration process can continue by making:

Ridge Augmentation
A bone graft is used for ridge augmentation.  A bone graft is made from a bone of a deceased donor that has been processed, cleaned and stored for patient uses. After the extraction has been made, “ridge augmentation” is applied to recreate the natural contour of the bone that was lost during the removal or from a severe infection.

Immediate Dental Implants
Modern dentistry succeeded in adapting more conductive and timesaving ways in its treatments. Immediate implants are one of the top innovations in dentistry. The placement of immediate implants makes it possible to do few procedures on the same visit.

By extracting a tooth the jawbone underneath starts to shrink back, and placing an implant at the same time creates the benefit of keeping the maximum amount of jawbone and to have more support for implants. Immediate implants make it possible to restore the smile in just a few hours.
If the jaw doesn’t have enough bone to place a long-lasting implant, there might be a need for a bone graft procedure.
Elite Dental Group offers the placing of the bone graft during the same visit. Bone grafts create a stronger foundation for the long-term success of the implants.  You can only do this treatment if needed, only if there is a need for a bone graft due to bone loss.

Dental Implant Supported Removable Dentures
Elite Dental Group offers Dental Implant Supported Removable Dentures, that are fixed in the mouth and don’t have any movement. DISRDs are a great financial way to restore the smile of the patient. The first procedure for having a fixed denture is the placement of the dental implant. Depending on the case, there will be a need to place 2 to 4 implants in the jawbone. On the same day, we provide our patients with temporary dentures. After a few follow-up visits, the mold is taken and the fixable denture is fabricated.

Dentistry made a huge revolution giving people a second chance to have a fixed full smile. Many years back when people did not have any tooth structure left, the only options were dentures. Nowadays, with only placing 6 to 8 implants, people have the chance to create a full fixed smile.
