If you have minor aesthetic issues with your teeth, porcelain veneers might be the simple solution that you're looking for.

Do you have teeth with chips, cracks, or severe stains? Or possibly, you avoid being in photos or having to smile at all costs. If your teeth are keeping you from enjoying the simplicities of life, you may need to consider treatments with a cosmetic dentist.

We know what you're thinking: "I can't afford cosmetic dentistry and it's going to be painful, invasive, or just take too long."

What we want you to know is that there is a simple, affordable, and effective option that will remedy minor aesthetic issues with your teeth: porcelain veneers.

What are Porcelain Veneers?

Porcelain veneers are made from an extremely thin sheet of porcelain that is molded and placed atop your existing tooth. The tooth gets prepared by our dentist slightly abrading the enamel so the porcelain sheet will adhere properly. You should not experience any pain during the abrading process. Once the tooth is prepared, we will take impressions of your bite and fit you with a temporary porcelain veneer.

While you have the temporary porcelain veneer, your permanent veneer will be formed and matched to blend in with your smile. Utilizing computer technology, we will ensure that your veneer is color-matched so it blends in seamlessly with your smile.

When your return to our dental office, we will remove your temporary porcelain veneer and replace it with the permanent veneer. We will make final adjustments to make sure that they flawlessly fit with your bite, smile, and look natural and beautiful.

What Can Porcelain Veneers Fix?

Porcelain veneers can be used to fix minor aesthitic problems with your teeth. They are not meant for teeth that are decayed, falling out, or dead. Porcelain veneers are also not recommended if you have any type of gum disease or serious dental issues. Before recommending porcelain veneers, Dr. Clancy will perform a thorough examination to ensure that you're healthy enough for them. Once he's decided this, they will be used to cover any of the following aesthetic issues:

  • Chipped teeth
  • Cracked teeth
  • Stained teeth
  • Misshapen teeth
  • Gapped or uneven teeth
