4 Tips to control formation of tartar.

No matter how much you ensure you have an excellent oral hygiene, there are a lot of bacteria that are left in the mouth. These bacteria normally feed on any remain that may not have been removed from the mouth. Tartar is often as a result of plaque that has accumulated over time. Ensure you brush and floss daily.

This is very important in ensuring that any plaque that may be forming is completely removed. It is advisable to brush and floss at least twice a day. When brushing, ensure that all oral areas are covered. Fluoride is not only important in prevention of the enamel damage, but it is also important in preventing the plaque from hardening to tartar. Ensure that you use toothpaste products that contain triclosan which is responsible in fighting the bacteria in the plaque.

Carefully watch what you eat.

There are certain foods that you eat, such as starchy and sugary foods that are responsible for triggering bacteria growth in the mouth. If the mouth is not brushes and washed immediately after consumption of these foods, itmay result to plaque formation. Ensure that you eat healthy foods and limit the amount of sugary foods that you eat. Dentists recommend that if you have to eat these foods that are fed on by the bacteria in the mouth, ensure that you wash and rinse your mouth with a lotof water.

Make a good choice of your toothbrush.

It is very important to make a good choice of your toothbrush. in addition to choosing a toothbrush with small bristles, it is important to see to it that your toothbrush choice is recommended and approved by the American Dental Association (ADA)
