1. Brushing teeth Regularly

It is recommended to brush teeth at least twice a day, first in the morning after bed and second in the evening before going to bed. Brushing regularly prevents the accumulation of germs and plaque inside the mouth and keep gums healthy.
2. Flossing the teeth
After brushing the teeth, there may be some plaque that struck behind and the same can be removed through flossing. Floss considers being a key part in maintaining oral health and can be done once a day. Various Medical fraternities recommend flossing teeth at least once a day.
3. Use Mouthwash
Mouthwash is generally a liquid which considers being vital for oral health. It proved to be effective in reducing the amount of acid in the mouth, clean the areas where brushing got skipped. Now a day’s various brands are offering their mouthwash in the market which can be purchased easily.
4. Avoid Sugary Foods
During the course of the day, we often eat sugary foods. The sugar present in the food converts into acid in the mouth and can easily erode the enamel of the teeth. This led to the cavities in the mouth Therefore we need to be very careful while eating these sort of foods.
5. Drink water as a saviour
Water considers being the source of life and also acting as a savior in maintaining oral health as well. Drinking water throughout the day will help in washing out the sticky and other food residues that may accumulate in our mouth and cause serious health concern in the long run.
6. Meet your Dentist regularly
It has been viewed that we see a dentist only in emergency cases like when there is a pain in our teeth or when other oral health issue arises. Medical experts are of the opinion that we should see doctor at least twice a year for a regular health check-up. The dentist will able to check up for any cavities and other oral health issues.
Therefore practising good dental habits will not only assist in maintaining oral health but will help in maintaining overall health.
