Peter Auster, DMD

Peter Auster has spent thirty years in our private practice in Pomona, N.Y. He has long term experience in high end reconstructive and cosmetic dentistry. In fact, he completed 2 terms as a director of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and recently completed a term as chairman of their leadership committee. Dr. Auster is extremely proud to be a winner of the AACD Humanitarian of the Year Award. He has been named a “Top Dentist in the Hudson Valley” by his peers for the past 10 years from Hudson Valley Magazine. He is the founder and past president of the Greater New York Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the New York affiliate of the AACD. He was recently named a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Dentists. Dr. Auster teaches dentists internationally and has given seminars on advanced dentistry from Portland, Maine to Portland, Oregon in the past two years.
He has been quoted and writes for many dental publications and his photo and cover story enhance the February 2019 edition of Dentistry Today, the largest circulated dental publication in the United States.
Dr. Auster has been named a “Leader in Continuing Education” by Dentistry Today each year since 2017. Dr. Auster’s volunteer work includes 11 years of annual volunteer dentistry in Jamaica; Give Back a Smile; and Smiles for Life, in which our office has contributed over $55,000 to children’s charities. He has received a “Certificate for International Voluntary Service” from the ADA and he has been named a Dawson Scholar from the Dawson Academy, the leading organization for advanced, reconstructive dentistry. Dr. Auster is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He has been married for thirty-seven years and is hugely proud of his wife, daughter, and son.

Frances Tang, DDS

Dr. Tang joined our practice in 1999. She obtained her D.D.S. degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 1998, followed by a one-year general practice residency at the New York Hospital and Medical Center of Queens.  Prior to her dental career, Dr. Tang practiced as an electronics engineer and program manager for seven years in Mitchel Field, Long Island, NY, with double M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from SUNY Stony Brook and Hofstra University respectively.  Dr. Tang takes a variety of continuing education courses each year to enhance the level of care she provides.  Dr. Tang believes in and enjoys the full spectrum of her dental practice.  She has thus undergone advanced continuing education training in full mouth rehabilitation with implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, and is a certified provider of Invisalign.

Dr. Tang’s professional memberships include the American Dental Association, New York Dental Association, Ninth District Dental Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry.  She is an Alumni of Dawson Academy, Fellow of International Congress of Oral Implantologists.  Dr. Tang also belongs to Columbia University College of Dental Medicine Continuing Education Implant Study Club.  Dr. Tang was named “Top Dentists in Hudson Valley” by her peers in 2012 and 2013.
