Tongue Tie/Lip Tie

Orthodontics
Treatment time can vary widely from patient to patient, and your specific treatment time will depend on the severity of your orthodontic condition and the type of treatment you choose. Orthodontic treatment can take anywhere from 6 months to 3 years to complete, although most patients undergo treatment for 18-24 months.
Prevention Techniques
Toothbrushing should be performed by a parent or adult for all young children. Most children are unable to do perform this vital and necessary task adequately prior to 7 or 8 years of age.
Radiographs / X-Rays
At Silicon Valley Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics, we do not require you to take a radiograph at every visit. Please let us know if you are concerned with radiographic exposure and would like us to take less radiographs.
Sealants
Dental sealants are thin composite coatings which are micromechanically bonded to tooth that prevent access to cavity causing bacteria, plaque, and food. They are applied to the pits and fissures of our adult permanent molar teeth. The purpose of a sealant is to prevent decay.
