Joseph Thompson DDS

Dr. Thompson, originally from western Nebraska, is a 2004 graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. He began his dental career as an associate dentist in Loveland, Colorado, until realizing his dream of owning his own practice. In October of 2005, Dr. Thompson acquired the dental practice of Dr. Roderic Kirk with the goal of maintaining the excellent dental care in family, cosmetic, and implant dentistry that Dr. Kirk had provided in Greeley since 1957.
Dr. Thompson takes nearly 100 continuing education hours per year in the areas of comprehensive, cosmetic, bite and joint disorders, and implant dentistry. In 2010 he completed the curriculum at The Dawson Academy, one of the leading post-graduate continuing education centers in the world. The Dawson Academy focuses on the treatment of complex dental cases with the best functional and esthetic result in mind. Also in 2010, after completing the Dentsply dental implant mini-residency, he started offering surgical implant placement. In 2013, he completed the surgical program at the world-renowned Misch International Implant Institute, and now offers 3D CAD/CAM guided implant surgery utilizing their 3D cone beam computed tomography machine, along with IV and oral conscious sedation.
Dr. Thompson is a member of the American and Colorado Dental Associations, and was the president of the Weld County Dental Society for the 2009-2010 year. He is also a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Thompson’s goal is to provide the best dental treatment available, with the most modern techniques and reliable advances in technology.
