Invisalign
Invisalign uses clear aligners for teeth straightening. Patients can achieve a straighter smile by wearing clear, custom-made plastic trays to gently reposition the teeth within the dental arch. It can be used to address cosmetic imperfections such as gaps or turned teeth or bite misalignments, helping patients with conditions such as overbites, underbites, and crossbites. Wearing the trays for approximately 10 days at a time and switching out to the next tray in the series allows patients control over the process. Additionally, patients have far fewer appointments than those who visit a traditional orthodontist, allowing for more time to enjoy life and less time in the dental chair!
Dental Crowns
At Total Health Dental, we assist Aurora, Illinois area patients with many dental needs. Patients who have damaged teeth may require the placement of a dental crown, also known as a ceramic cap for teeth. Dental crowns play a crucial role in general, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry and are used in various situations.
Endodontics
A persistent toothache that doesn’t go away accompanied by inflammation of gum tissue could be signs of severe decay or infection. At this stage, it’s imperative to receive prompt treatment to save your tooth. After an exam, your Aurora, Illinois dentist may recommend endodontic therapy, aka root canal treatment, to remove the infection and restore tooth health. We can perform this treatment at our Total Health Dental practice.
Laser Gum Surgery
At Total Health Dental, we pride ourselves on providing state-of-the-art technology for diagnosing, treating, and preventing various dental concerns. Dr. Khaja Mohsinuddin will recommend to many patients who need treatment of the gums to consider the benefits of laser gum surgery using the Denmat SOL device.
Dental Implants
Your smile is not complete if you’re missing a tooth or several teeth. That is why our team at Total Health Dental in Aurora, Illinois, consults with patients who have tooth loss to help them choose a solution that best fits their unique needs. Dr. Khaja Mohsinuddin is pleased to offer different options for patients to choose from, including the placement of partial dentures, full dentures, implant-retained dentures, dental bridges, and dental implants. With so many options, patients might feel overwhelmed and unsure which solution is best for them. We find that patients missing all the teeth in the dental arch may be best suited for a complete denture or full-mouth dental implants.
Dental Bridge
The dental bridge is a natural-looking dental appliance used to fill the gap caused by one or more missing teeth. These custom-made restorations are fabricated to look just like natural teeth, ensuring they look beautiful when completed. The bridge uses false teeth called pontics connected with dental crowns on each side. The dentist uses adjacent teeth to bond the dental bridge and restore the smile after tooth extraction or loss.
